Roger Magalhaes

Hello, hello, welcome to another show of Noise Strings Attached. This is Roger McGallis, and I am your host. If this is your first time here, welcome to the show. And if you have been here before, welcome back. First and foremost, happy new year. Wishing you a very healthy and wealthy 2026. And as we kick off the new year, I wanted to make this show slightly different. I want to share things that have been working, but since the year is just about to start, it will be exactly the right time to start introducing all these changes and all these projects that have been going on behind the scene. But before we do that, I just want to remind you that we have a sponsor called blindzonlines.com. I highly recommend you check their website. They just launched a new site, much better, way improved than what they had before. Lots of options there. Great selection, extremely great prices. And there's a lot of things going on with them as well. A lot of things coming up in 2026. So make sure you check them online, blindsonlines.com. They are i sponsor. So today's show, as I do every year, I you know, I'll run a movie in my head, everything that worked, uh, in the previous year, all the plans, everything that I have, you know, goals, all those things that every business owner should do. So as a matter of fact, 2026 is going, I'm going to celebrate 20 years with shades in place. So I've been thinking about 2026 for a while, and you know, I have not planned on a lot of things in my life. They just happen to happen to uh come across in some stays, some stick, some, you know, it's just temporarily. But over the years, I've been accumulating things in projects and turning to new ventures, things that came to a point that it became a little confusing, actually, to tell people, oh yes, I do window shades, oh yes, but I also do installation train. Oh yes, I also have a podcast, and now that I'm being working on the book, and by the way, it's coming uh before the meet of the year, which is another project, I've been thinking, how can I have all of those things housed under one roof that makes easier for whoever come across me in you know communication, networking, events, whatever, how could it be easier for them to get all the information under one roof? So here's an idea as I was talking to chat GPT, and if you're not into AI, perhaps 2026 should be the year that you devote some time to learn about AI. AI is here to stay, it's not you know, it is not a temporary thing. So if you're not into it yet, I definitely tell you, don't miss the boat, get on early. Same thing with Bitcoin, and people still think they you know is a scam, whatever, uh it's been going on since 2008. So another thing is motorization, you know. Uh I've been doing motorization since 2006. I have dealers that still thinking about it. So don't miss the boat. Anyway, going back to our conversation, and I decided to put everything under one roof, and I'm gonna call these a hub. But going back to what I was saying before, talking to Jap GPT, I was asking, so how can I explain this the easiest way to the people that I come that I come across? And chat suggested an idea of an airport. So the airport, everybody comes to the airport when they need to go someplace else, right? Could be your local airport, could be a connection airport, but everybody gathers at the airport, and from that point, each passenger goes to a specific uh specific terminal to get to their final destination. So in parallel to that idea, what I created or what I'm going to create, I'm still working on on the background, is a airport called RogerMagali's.com, which is my hub site. And from that point, when you landed there, you are going to take the terminal that gets you where you want to go. One of the terminals is gonna be shades in place. If you are in Tampa, in Tampa area, looking for custom window treatments. Another terminal is gonna be terminal trading up. If you're looking for training, you're looking for expertise about uh products and about becoming a bad installer. There's a terminal called Podcast where you come to listen to the show, to listen to those stories, to share your knowledge with me as well. Another terminal is going to call the uh the book, where you're going to be able to read the stories, to buy the book, and so on and so forth. I have another business that I'm going to introduce in the incoming weeks, so be aware of that as well. So instead of having you remember a lot of things, this is going to be the airport where everybody gets there, and from that point, everyone goes to exactly where they want to go. The point was I needed to create a visual a visual identity for the hub, and I've been working on this logo for the last uh three or four months. I didn't want to do something just you know like you grab off the internet. I thought about it, I put a lot of thinking through it. I really want to be a reflection of my journey over the years. So it's kind of simple, is my initials RM for Roger McGallis with a circle around and basically it. But there's a lot of meaning behind. So the letters R and M obviously stand for Roger McGallis, but they also have other meanings. So R stands for resilience, resourcefulness, and readiness. Things that I've done it, things that I am over the years. So resilience is something that is grained in my DNA. I don't give up, I take it to the end regardless. I have a lot of resources, I am a resource myself. If I don't know what I'm doing, at least I know someone who does. Readiness, it's the ability to keep going even when you're not ready. So I feel I own those qualities. I have mastered those qualities. Obviously, I don't know everything, I'm still evolving, but I think those qualities represent me well. M stands for magalis, but also it stands for movement, for mindset, for meaning. As I said, I don't stand still. I'm always moving, I always pay attention to things around, to opportunities. I don't just, you know, stick my head in the sand and let the world uh work. So I always aware, I always moving, traveling, I love that. Mindset is how I see things, how I try to keep focus on what I'm doing. I don't let the noise to deviate my focal point. I want to something and I work towards it. And meaning, I don't do things halfway. It gotta have a meaning to everything I do. So if I'm gonna be your friend, I'm truly gonna be your friend, otherwise, makes no sense. You know what I mean? So I those qualities really define me in a great way. I also have an orbit around my initials, and the orbit is not a full circle just because my life is not complete, it's always evolving, there's always room for improvement. That's why it's not closed. So, how you create the orbit is not a nice even line either, because it represents my life, represents my body, my mind, and as we know, as we age, there are things that get stronger: wisdom, expertise, but there's also parts that fade away, like our body is not the same. I'm 52, so I don't have the same body, the same strength, physical strength that I had when I was younger. So those things, my wife at one point said, Well, but the the orbit doesn't look finished, it looks kind of worn out. And I said, That is exactly the point, you know, things improve in one end, things fade away on the other side. So, about the colour, the color palette of the logo, I want it something strong, but yet soft, not loud, enough to make an impact, but not to be the main focus in the realm. And then I complete the logo with a tagline different brands the same one same standard, and that is no matter what I do, they all keep my signature underneath because no matter if it is a multimillion dollar thing or a$25 deal, I think the same way, I put my soul into everything I do. That's why. So, this is my primary goal for 2026: bringing every of my uh business and ideas and things that are working on it, I call them pillars, to under one roof, and from that point, I think it will be much easier for everyone to gather under one hub and understand better what I'm doing. So, what is your main goal for 2026? Is that improve your health, travel more, make more money, slow down from work, be more family involved? Tell me. I'm here to share what I know and what I don't. Please share what you have and where you want to go. As always, I appreciate you being here. I appreciate all this time that we spent together, and I'm looking forward to a health and wealth 2026. Thanks so much, and I'll see you next time. Take care.
